If EMRs are adopted by only 10% of
the small physician market, wouldn’t you like to gain access
to the other 90%?
One of our reseller subscribers in New
Orleans recently alerted me to a product that I found very
appealing. The name of the company is NuScribe and they
produce the NuScribe SMR or simplified medical record. The
product itself is not an EMR but rather a voice recognition
driven documentation solution.
There
are several things that I found unique about the product and
it’s marketing that I felt our subscribers should be aware
of:
- Unique product with less
competition
- Immediate return on investment
- Extremely short sales cycle
- Non-disruptive deployment
- Low support costs
- Large revenue stream
- Simplicity
Unique product with immediate return on investment: The NuScribe SMR focuses only on
medical documentation. There are over 450 EMR companies
competing for around 10 to 15 percent of the overall small
physician market that is actively pursuing an EMR
deployment. NuScribe caters to the remaining 80 to 85
percent that need a cost effective method to deal with high
transcription costs and the heavy losses associated with
down coding. The average dictating physician spends about
$800 per month on transcription. NuScribe is only $195 a
user per month with a lease. The physician is able to
recognize an immediate return on investment of over $600.
Additionally, many physicians don’t have the time it takes
to handwrite the lengthy, detailed notes required to bill at
higher levels. In lieu of placing themselves in jeopardy of
an audit nightmare, they will simply down code to play it
safe. This will cost the practice thousands of dollars over
the course of a year. With the NuScribe SMR they are able to
rapidly complete documents real time with voice recognition.
Extremely short sales cycle:
The great thing about selling NuScribe
is the extremely short sales cycle. This is attributed to
two key factors. First, is the overall lack of competition
in the dedicated documentation solutions market space. When
you address a prospect regarding voice recognition
documentation, they have only a limited number of options.
This means that they are able to make their decision quickly
because they don’t feel obligated to shop around. Most of
the marketing material they are receiving is telling them
they need to go chartless. If they are not interested, then
you will have a very simple, cost effective alternative that
will still eradicate the same documentation cost that a full
EMR would. Second, NuScribe requires the practice to make
very few changes to the workflow process. Because there is
very little disruption, the prospect has far less to fear
when making this decision. NuScribe resellers regularly
enjoy one call closes.
Low support costs: NuScribe offers the reseller an
opportunity to make a large commission on the front end of
the sale as well as a healthy revenue stream from support
and deployment. The NuScribe SMR is so simplified, that it
only takes about 2 hours to get a physician up and running.
NuScribe’s cutting edge architecture and appliance model
requires very little support beyond the initial
functionality questions. This allows the reseller to make
higher margins on support contracts.
There are many more benefits to working
with NuScribe. I urge you to take a look and see what they
can do for your revenue stream. Contact Tom Dorsett at
